Curiosity took
me here.

I’m M Asif Rahman. Most people call me Asif. I started building for the web from Bangladesh in 2004, and I’ve been following my curiosity ever since.

That curiosity has taken me through WordPress, SaaS, Shopify, investing, and now AI agents. The tools keep changing. I still care about the same thing: making something useful, with people who care about it.

01 / THE LONG VIEW

Different chapters.
The same curiosity.

I didn’t start with a map of all this. One thing led to another.

2004 · THE BEGINNING
It started with ARCom.
ARCom was my first company. Building for the web from Bangladesh taught me to learn by doing, keep trying, and pay attention to the problems people actually have.
WORDPRESS · THE COMMUNITY
A platform became a whole world.
WordPress started as a curiosity in 2004. It became the platform I built on and a community that took me around the world. Meetups, WordCamps, and conversations with other builders shaped much of what came next.
PRODUCTS · THE TEAMS
Learning to build together.
Through WPDeveloper, Startise, xCloud and Storeware, the work grew into products and teams. Different platforms, different customers, and the ongoing responsibility of making things people rely on.
NOW · AI & AGENTS
Still a beginner at something.
These days I spend a lot of time exploring what AI agents can do. I’m building agent infrastructure at xCloud, experimenting with new tools, and sharing useful pieces as open-source projects.

More than
what we build.

Some of the best parts of this journey happened away from my desk: meeting the WordPress community, sharing what I’ve learned on stage, and helping bring people together through JCI Dhaka Founders.

I enjoy travel, cricket, and the conversations that happen when people from different places meet. Bangladesh is where this story began; curiosity keeps taking it somewhere new.
